EMDRIA Board of Directors Election Ends August 12th!
This year we are pleased to be offering online election voting in conjunction with our Go Green Program! Full Members will be able to vote online before August 12th. You can also call EMDRIA and request a paper ballot be mailed to you if you prefer to vote by mail. Please note that you must have been a Full Member of EMDRIA as of June 1st to qualify to vote.
EMDRIA General Membership Meeting at 2009 Conference...
Each year at the annual Conference, EMDRIA holds its General Membership Meeting. We encourage all members to attend so that they can address the EMDRIA Board to provide feedback, share input and ask questions. Please join us on Saturday, August 29th at 5:30pm.
EMDRIA Member and Past President Byron R. Perkins, Psy.D., Passed Away...
On Monday, June 29, 2009 Byron R. Perkins, Psy.D., passed away as a result of complications from Psoriatic Arthritis from which he had been suffering for several years. Byron was President of EMDRIA in 2002. His wife, Yaaca, would like for those who want to memorialize him, to send donations to HAP. She said that HAP was very special to him. We want to extend our blessings to his family and for those that knew him with memories of his life.
Share Your EMDR Photos with EMDRIA...
EMDRIA is looking for EMDR and EMDRIA Conference related photographs from the past 20 years to be used as part of our 20th Anniversary of EMDR celebration at this year's Conference in Atlanta. Please email all photos to Shira Kundinger at skundinger@emdria.org or mail them to the EMDRIA office by July 31st for inclusion (printed photos will be returned after the Conference). Please be aware that by submitting your photos you are consenting for EMDRIA to use them at the Conference and on the EMDRIA website.

What's New!
2010 EMDRIA Student Research Award
The EMDRIA Foundation is supporting a $1500 award for research by a student whose dissertation focuses on theory, methodology, or application of EMDR. This Award will be initiated at the 2010 EMDRIA Conference. Applicants must submit a letter of support from their dissertation chair, a scholarly 5-page paper describing the research, and a cover letter which includes a statement of commitment by the student to submit the final product for publication. If you, or someone you know, might be interested, please email submission material to Shira Kundinger at skundinger@emdria.org by March 1, 2010.

Please remember when you are applying for recertification that your continuing education hours for recertification need to be obtained within the two-year period from the time your application was approved to the date it is renewed. Your hours will not roll over into the next renewal period.
