Regional Network Meeting - "Use of DES and MID in EMDR Therapy"

 

 

Workshop Objectives.  1) History of the Dissociative Experiences Scale (DES-II) and Multidimensional Inventory of Dissociation (MID) will be reviewed.  2) How to administer, score, and interpret the DES and MID; 3) Comparison of DES to MID; 4) How to provide effective feedback to clients.  5) Use of the DES and MID results in treatment planning.  6) Use of DES and MID results in EMDR therapy, to include Phases 2 and 3 as well as determining appropriateness of EMDR therapy.   

 

Presenter.  Brenda Rohren, MA, MFS, LIMHP, LADC, MAC is a Certified EMDR therapist, EMDRIA Approved Consultant-in-Training, and our Regional Coordinator.  She hasbeen a member of EMDRIA since 2010.  Because of her commitment to the practice and advancement of EMDR, Brenda was active on several EMDRIA Administrative Committees until her election to the EMDRIA Board of Directors.  (This includes Chair of the Membership Committee and Chair of the Public Practice & Diversity Subcommittee.)  Brenda served on the EMDRIA Board of Directors from 2014-2016 and served several Board committees: Chair of Structure, Function, & Bylaws (SF&B) Committee; Audit Committee; and Ownership Linkage Committee.  She was the Secretary of the Board of Directors in 2015. 

Brenda is the President of Behavioral Health Resources, LLC located in Lincoln, Nebraska. Services include management consulting for CARF accreditation and outpatient treatment for co-occurring disorders. (The outpatient programs are CARF-accredited.  The organization is a licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Center.)  Brenda is a licensed mental health and substance abuse professional who has worked in the behavioral health field for 30 years (all levels of care from outpatient to inpatient.) 

 

Eligibility Requirements.  This workshop is limited to partially and fully trained EMDR therapists.  All members of our Regional Network are eligible to attend.  For other attendees, If verification of completion of the EMDR Therapy Basic Training cannot be obtained from the EMDR Institute's website, participants will need to fax, mail, or e-mail a copy of the certificate of completion to the Regional Coordinator:  Brenda Rohren; c/o 7441 O Street, Suite 107; Lincoln, Nebraska 68510; Tel: (402) 486-1101; Fax: (402) 486-4342;brenda@sene-emdria.org.
