EMDR Therapy for Borderline Personality Disorder, Dissociation & Complex Trauma

Approved for 6 EMDRIA Credits

Dr. Ross will describe dissociation: the differences between psychoform and somatoform dissociation; nuances of dissociative identity disorder (how to diagnose it; prevalence, reliability and validity; treatment outcome data for DID; and the relationship between DID and PTSD); three common reasons for adverse reactions to EMDR; and the relationship between borderline personality disorder, reactive attachment disorder, and dissociation. A modified version of the theory of structural dissociation will be offered to aid treatment of BPD/DID within EMDR therapy and the AIP model. Dr. Ross' Trauma Model Therapy will be integrated as suitable for DID, BPD, PTSD and more. Case examples and discussion.
