EMDR Therapy for Borderline Personality Disorder, Dissociation & Complex Trauma

Colin Ross and Dolores Mosquera will provide a comprehensive overview of EMDR treatment for borderline personality disorder, dissociation and complex trauma. Content will cover: the differences between psychoform and somatoform dissociation; dissociative identity disorder (DID); the relationship between DID and PTSD; common reasons for adverse reactions to EMDR; BPD/DID treatment within a modified version of the theory of structural dissociation and Dr. Ross' Trauma Model Therapy. Day two will integrate Dolores Mosquera's extensive EMDR clinical experience including a detailed clinical interview for BPD, nuanced treatment strategies for subgroups of BPD, aiding self-differentiation, psychoeducation strategies, working with defenses, working with dissociative parts, target selection in BDP, and processing considerations.
