"I Can't Do It!" Clearing Roadblocks to Optimal Functioning After Trauma; Integrating EMDR & Life Performance Tools

Approved for 13 EMDRIA Credits

Dr. Lendl will offer an approach to integrating a performance focus that will enrich your work in helping your clients begin to reach into the future to be more effective personally and professionally. This proactive approach for successful functioning can be utilized to assess your client's overall functioning in his/her life and identify any unresolved trauma issues and/or emotional blocks. Dr. Lendl will help participants evaluate the difference between trauma and performance issues. Her approach underscores the co-creation that emerges between client and therapist to shape a new future. While EMD-PEP (Performance Enhancement Psychology) adheres faithfully to AIP and Shapiro's 3 prong, 8 phase protocol, the emphasis is on performance and future template. In essence, the clinician works backward by visioning expected outcomes and uploading performance skills before reprocessing blocks. In addition to lecture and experiential sessions, Dr. Lendl will show 4 complete sessions with a financial executive to demonstrate her EMDR-PEP approach.
