Education/Experience
My specialties include trauma, anxiety, depression, compulsive behaviors, substance abuse, grief and loss, anger management issues, and life transitional issues, such as marriage, separation, and divorce. In January of 2017, I will be certified to offer EMDR therapy for trauma victims. (Watch this video to learn more about EMDR). I also welcome couples and families, assisting them in structuring their relationships to manage conflict successfully while also growing closer. Utilizing the work of John Gottman and Sue Johnson’s Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), I help couples pay attention to the emotional atmosphere and communication within the relationship to create change. I use a client-centered approach with various treatment modalities to include Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, Behavioral Management Techniques, and Memory Reconsolidation in Trauma Therapy.
