Abigail R. Amundson, LPCC
About Me
Abigail Amundson is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). She has a master’s degree from Adler Graduate School and specializes in Adlerian counseling, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), systematic desensitization, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and is also trained in EMDR. Abigail has experience working in both an intensive outpatient clinic for substance use disorder and at an outpatient mental health clinic. Her area of clinical interest is obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression, anxiety, emotional regulation, personality disorders, trauma, and co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. She works with adolescents and adults, individuals and couples and relies on making a positive connection with all her clients. She believes that the therapeutic relationship is the most important part of change. It is through this relationship that trust can happen and hope can be formed.
Education & Experience
I received a Bachelor's degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato in Secondary Education, English/Speech. I received a Master's degree from Adler Graduate School in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
