About Me

Amanda is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) with 9 years of experience working in the field of social work and mental health treatment. Amanda has extensive experience with clients and family systems in health care, community-based, and clinical treatment settings. She specializes in working with adults experiencing a wide range of issues including grief and end-of-life issues, trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, eating disorders, minority stress, and complex medical diagnoses. Amanda uses a blend of treatment approaches like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Psychodynamic approaches (Ego-State and Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Polyvagal/Somatic techniques to support clients in healing trauma experiences. She has an interest in supporting clients with complex trauma histories and around the intersection of eating disorders and trauma. Amanda's therapeutic perspective is that you intately process the skills, resources and capabilities to heal from your own experiences and that you're probably already doing it! Her hope is that your therapeutic relationship will allow you to be compassionately and non-judgmentally joined and supported through your process of healing. Amanda is LGBTQIA+ allied, affirming and continually learning.
