About Me

Do you avoid taking chances in your life, career, or relationships due to fears of not being good enough? Do you feel controlled by feelings of anxiety, guilt, shame, and worthlessness? I provide a space in which you can feel safe exploring and working through these difficult challenges. My goal as a relationship-based therapist is to help you feel validated and accepted, as I believe these qualities are essential in having the confidence to both face and overcome suffering. Through our work together, I want to support you in feeling empowered, unburdened by the past, and capable of creating the life you want to live. In addition to providing support through talk therapy, I provide trauma-informed treatment to help you identify and process past challenges that may be impeding movement in your life. I teach useful skills that can help you manage difficult emotions, regulate behaviors, and improve relationships. I have experience working with a variety of needs, including depression, anxiety, complex trauma, relationship challenges, grief, suicidality, self-injury, loneliness, and an overall lack of fulfillment. The treatment I provide is integrative, incorporating components from talk therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness.

Education & Experience

I obtained my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Boston University. After working for several years at an inpatient psychiatric facility for adolescents, I moved back to Pennsylvania to pursue a Master's in Social Work from West Chester University. Upon graduating, I began working with adult violent offenders recently released from prison, while also facilitating Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills groups at an inpatient facility for members of the Catholic clergy. In 2016 I helped develop a private practice that specialized in providing Comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy for adolescents and young adults struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and severe suicidal behaviors. After moving to Park City, UT in 2018, I became trained - and subsequently certified - in EMDR, which has become my primary mode of therapeutic intervention in my private practice.
