Amanda Stone, LMHC
About Me
My name is Amanda Stone and I am a bilingual, licensed mental health counselor. I have been working with children and families in the community, both as a case manager and counselor, for over ten years. I have found that both in my personal life and in working with families, our experiences and surroundings impact how we view the world. I needed the support of others to walk through the valleys that life had me face. I always found a safe space within my community and family that allowed me to cope and heal. The vision for Renewed Life Counseling came one day when thinking about what I wanted this practice to accomplish. Growing up my dad always taught me to look up the true meaning of words and ideas by researching them in the original language. In doing some research I found that the word renew in the original language is ḥāḏaš- to be new, renew, repair, make anew. Sometimes, as we go through life, we think that there is no way we can start over. That there is no way that things can get better and we might as well settle where we are. It made me realize that many times we need to know there is hope for the future and that we can be made new. I believe that there are occasions in our life where we need others to walk with us in order to navigate life's challenges. I want to walk the road of healing alongside you. We were created to experience a healed and whole life, and I am excited to join you on this journey. I hope to create safe space to share your story.
