About Me

NOW OFFERING IN-PERSON OR ONLINE SESSIONS! "I am not what happened to me. I am who I choose to become." Stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, and overwhelm can take us to a dark place. But we don't have to stay there. Life and relationships can be hard. But there is hope. As an experienced and compassionate therapist, I work with adults, adolescents, couples, and families to help overcome trauma, alleviate anxiety and depression, build positive relationships and improve their lives. If needed, we also have a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner on staff to help you with medication management. From the first session, you will be encouraged with real and practical tools you can use to help combat the anxiety, depression, fear, anger, hopelessness, relational issues, and overwhelm in your life. You are not alone.

Education & Experience

I hold a Masters Degree in Counseling and ten years of experience directly in the counseling field. Before that, I spent fifteen years working extensively with adolescents and their families, both as a teacher and staff member trained to work with troubled youth. I have also completed training for Mental Health First Aid, National Organization for Victim Assistance, and Crisis Incident Stress Management. As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, I count it a privilege to partner with you on your journey to optimal mental health. In our warm and welcoming office in the heart of Mabank, or from the comfort of your own home, I will work with you to find practical solutions to the challenges you face.

Professional & Volunteer Affiliations

I am also the Coordinator of Counseling in our local school district, leading the counseling program and providing crisis counseling to students. I am a member of Texas Counseling Association, and freelance consultant for Friends of Texas Public Schools.
