About Me
I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas and have been living in Florida for 20 years. I have spent the last 9 years helping people in different settings that include inpatient psychiatry, outpatient mental health counseling, group therapy, and most recently I spent over a year providing supportive counseling to families with an infant in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). As of June 2022, I have begun my journey into the world of private practice so that I can focus and dedicate more time to individuals seeking therapy to heal past trauma as I found this to be an area that I am most passionate about.
Education & Experience
I graduated with a master's degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2013 from Nova Southeastern University. I have been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor since 2016 and received EMDR training in 2018. I also became a National Certified Counselor in 2018 that was administered by the National Board for Certified Counselors, Inc. In 2019, I became a qualified supervisor who can supervise registered mental health counseling interns. I am actively working towards EMDR Certification.
