Cassandra Patterson, LPC, CAADC, NCC
About Me
I am a Board Certified Counselor who specializes in helping adults cope with trauma-related issues and substance abuse issues. I counsel my clients in a way that utilizes both their heads and their bodies to create connection from past trauma to their present-day hurdles. There are a wide range of events, big and small, that stick with us and make us feel “stuck.” I believe one of the bravest things you can do is to face your unhealed trauma and become "unstuck." If you have any questions about my approach to treatment, or would like to schedule a consultation, I’m ready when you are.
Education & Experience
I completed my undergraduate studies at Saginaw Valley State University, then went on to complete a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Michigan University. I also completed a Specialty Program in Alcohol and Drug Abuse (SPADA) at Western Michigan University.
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and Certified EMDR Therapist. I am a proud member of the American Counseling Association, the Michigan Counseling Association and the EMDR International Association.
