Mrs. Christianne Porta, LMFT

About Me

I am a bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family therapist who works with teens and adults who are struggling with self-doubt, low self-esteem, difficulty managing emotions, and varying degrees of trauma. I also work with families and couples that are seeking a meaningful connection with each other; a relationship where they are heard, seen, and accepted.

Education & Experience

I have experience working with various developmental stages, ranging from pre-school aged children to adults in various capacities. My career in counseling began at a domestic & sexual violence center in South Florida. I’ve led support groups for children, teens, and adult survivors of trauma. As a group facilitator, I worked for an evidence-based bullying preventative program that aims to develop social skills, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving skills in preschool-aged children. I have held workshops for parents, faculty, and students on practical ways to prevent, identify, and disrupt bullying in schools and the workplace. My professional and personal experiences with pain, grief, and fear have honored me with the privilege of witnessing how making meaningful connections can heal painful memories.
