About Me
Christina is passionate about helping people navigate the overwhelming path of loss and the challenges that life brings. She strives to offer a safe, supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can process their experiences, gain insights into their thoughts, feelings and behaviors, and develop skills to empower them to find healing and transformation. She is trained in EMDR and assists children, adolescents and adults with a variety of concerns, including grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, and ADHD. She utilizes a trauma-informed, collaborative approach with a variety of treatment modalities tailored to meet the needs of each client. When working with children and adolescents, she also incorporates play and expressive arts.
Education & Experience
Christina earned her bachelor's degree in social work at Harding University in 2000 and her master’s degree in social work at Case Western Reserve University in 2005. She is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervisor designation.
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
Christina is a Fellow in Thanatology (the study of death, dying and bereavement) and a member of the following organizations: Association for Death Education and Counseling (ADEC), National Alliance for Grieving Children (NAGC), Portage County Suicide Prevention Coalition and National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
