Christine M Quintana, MA, LPC, CEDS
About Me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Arizona. I specialize in the treatment of eating disorders, traumatic experiences, perinatal mental health, anxiety, depression, body image, and self-esteem. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and am a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS). I utilize a blend of traditional and experiential therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Expressive Arts Therapy. I strive to provide a compassionate, safe, and healing environment while honoring each client as their own individual.
Education & Experience
I received my Bachelors in Psychology from Arizona State University and earned my Master of Arts in Counseling at Ottawa University with a concentration in Expressive Arts Therapy. For the past ten years, I have dedicated myself to work with eating disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders. My experience includes facilitating individual and group sessions with adolescents, adults, and their families in all levels of care. I have assisted in creating clinical curriculum, supported starting a PHP program, and have held a Clinical Lead Therapist position at Residential, PHP, and IOP levels of care. I am an approved Clinical Supervisor with the Arizona State Board of Behavioral Health Examiners. Since becoming a mom almost two years ago I have grown an additional passion in perinatal mental health. I am a member of and have completed a three day training on perinatal mental health through Postpartum Support International. I love being a mom and it has definitely come with some surprising challenges. I want moms to know that many of the thoughts/feelings they are having being a new mom can be such a common experience and with treatment you can be well again. You are not alone in this journey and I'd love to be here to help you through it.
