About Me
I’m Clarissa Jones, LISW-S, a Clinical Services Manager at Hope and Healing Survivor Resource Center, an EMDRIA Certified Therapist, and a Consultant-in-Training (CIT). I started my career in crisis intervention on Townhall II’s 24/7 hotline, where I learned the importance of simply showing up with steadiness and care in moments that feel overwhelming.
My path into clinical social work is deeply personal. After experiencing my own PTSD and victimization, I received care that changed how I understood healing and what felt possible. That experience continues to ground me in this work and fuels my commitment to walking alongside others in theirs. I care deeply about advocacy for survivors and believe strongly in the collective healing that can happen through connection and peer support. In 2023, I had the privilege of supporting survivors in founding SOS, a peer-led, survivor-centered support group. I was also honored as the 2022 NASW Ohio Region 2 Emerging Leader.
My clinical work centers on trauma, especially PTSD among survivors of gender-based violence. I’m trained in EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and I have experience working with dissociative disorders, OCD, and anxiety. I also work part-time at Palladium Counseling Group, where I support both adults and youth in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive and related disorders.
As a therapist and consultant-in-training, I try to approach this work with humility, curiosity, and respect for how complex healing can be. I aim to create spaces that feel supportive, collaborative, and grounded, where people can grow in ways that feel authentic to them.
I hold close the words of Carl Jung: “Know all the theories, master all the techniques, but as you touch a human soul, be just another human soul.”
