About Me

I believe that much of what troubles us in the present is actually rooted in the past. In my practice, I help clients connect the dots between past experiences and patterns of unhelpful thoughts, feelings and behaviors affecting them now. Central to this work is the integration of body, mind, heart, and spirit. It is there that my clients experience the freedom to move forward towards their goals and the future they desire. I see a wide variety of Individuals and meet them where they are both Emotionally and Spiritually. I identify as a female, Christian and mother of two. Words to describe my practice include holistic, bilingual (Spanish/English), trauma-informed and culturally sensitive.

Education & Experience

Columbia University School of Social Work Masters of Science in Social Work New York, NY- May 2015 Wheaton College Bachelors of Arts in Economics and Spanish Wheaton, IL- May 2010 In New York I spent the first 5 years of my career doing therapeutic work with survivors of intimate partner violence, domestic abuse and human trafficking. Now back in Durham, after working for some time in the medical setting, I have developed an expertise in trauma and its holistic impact on individuals and families. I love getting to be a part of the healing journey with my clients and find joy in helping others discover their own worth and resilience. With a background of studies in Christian Theology, I also enjoy working with clients who are wrestling with spiritual or religious concerns.
