Daniela Peterson, LPC

About Me

Owner and clinical supervisor of Vista Counseling group practice that has six therapists providing therapeutic services to our community of Jackson. Daniela has an extensive background in the fields of addiction, domestic violence, and trauma. She is an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) provider helping children and adults with past traumatic experiences in conjunction with different therapeutic approaches including CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy), humanistic/person centered counseling, and mindfulness coaching. Throughout the years of work in the state of Wyoming, Daniela has received several awards in counseling field. In 2007 Daniela was given the Starfish Thrower Award from the Wyoming Department of Health, for creating the first Spanish speaking substance abuse outpatient treatment program in the State of Wyoming and in 2014 Daniela was recognized by the Division of Victims of the State of Wyoming for her outstanding work with victims of abuse. Daniela is fully bilingual and provides services in English and Spanish.

Education & Experience

Daniela graduated in 2005 with honors from Universidad Bolivariana in Chile (her home country) with the degree of clinical psychology. When she moved to the US she was given the equivalency of a Master in Psychology, which allowed her to provide mental health services as a Licensed Professional Counselor.
