About Me

While obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Child and Adolescent Development I was inspired to become a social worker. Witnessing the struggles of youth as they aged out of foster care, I developed a passion for supporting people to become their full selves. Through these experiences, I grew passionate about supporting children and youth of all ages while focusing on youth who have experienced trauma, LGBTQ youth, and youth who are young parents. I currently work in private practice at Grow Counselling and at the public youth clinic, Foundry/ Victoria Youth Clinic. Prior to working as a therapist I worked as a child welfare social worker as well as an animal shelter worker during my undergraduate studies. I believe in the healing abilities of animals, nature and connection.

Education & Experience

I have a Master of Social Work from San Francisco State University and I am a Registered Clinical Social Worker with the BC College of Social Workers. I started my work with families while obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Child and Adolescent Development. My 10 years of experience has focused on working with children and families who have experienced foster care. I also have experience with transgender and queer youth on the streets, sexual exploited minors and children from families living in affluent areas. I enjoy utilizing engagement skills that allow me to find creative ways to build therapeutic relationships even with those hesitant about therapy. Adults, children and families who are excited about the opportunity to work on self-growth, overcome obstacles, or process adverse experiences are an exciting part of my practice. I am grateful for the continued work I am able to do with those who have experienced intergenerational trauma, child abuse, domestic violence, and any forms of prejudice.
