About Me

I am gratefully recovering wounded healer, having come into the counseling profession after my own experiences with effective counseling for trauma and addictions that transformed by life. It is my mission to proactively engage in helping others restore their lives and their families by utilizing evidence-based practices in the service of healing and supporting clients in their pursuit of a life worth living.

Education & Experience

I have a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida Gulf Coast University. Post-graduate education includes: * Training and Certification as a Certified Multiple Addiction Therapist (sex, financial disorders) through the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals * Basic training as a EMDR clinician * Advanced Training in using EMDR in the treatment of Structural Dissociation (Dr. Kathy Steele) * Trained in Post Induction Therapy for trauma resolution (Pia Mellody) * Trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples, including Core Skills training (Michael Barnett) *Trained in the administration of SCID-D - Structured Clinical Interview for Dissociative Disorders (Dr. Marlene Steinberg) *Trained in Flash Technique for EMDR (Philip Mansfield) * Trained in DBT, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (Behavioral Tech) I have worked in private practice since 2009.
