About Me
I am a Navy nurse veteran with a broad range of experience as a registered nurse working in behavioral health, labor & delivery, and hospice/palliative care. As a nurse practitioner, I have experience in psychiatry in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I like to focus on a 6 pronged approach to good mental health: counseling & stress management, whole food nutrition, consistent physical activity, restorative sleep, social connection, and medication if needed. My therapy strengths are trauma-informed care, mindfulness therapy, CBT, CBT-i, motivational interviewing and collaborative assessment, and management of suicidality (CAMS).
