About Me
Dr. Sarah Cordonnier, Ed. D., LPCC-S is a Professional Clinical Counselor- Supervision Designation, who was recently awarded her doctorate in Community Care and Counseling (Marriage & Family Cognate) and continues to works with children, adolescents and adults with mental, emotional, and behavioral issues. Dr. Cordonnier received her Master of Arts in Counseling from Franciscan University of Steubenville in 2011. Dr. Cordonnier completed her doctoral dissertation on "High Conflict Couples Effected by Infidelity and the effectiveness of AIRP" and specializes in couples and family counseling. She has received specialized training in Gottman Relational Counseling, Emotional Focused Therapy, and EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) to help those with unresolved trauma. To better serve the entire family, Dr. Sarah received additional training in SandPlay and Play therapy to utilize her skills with children. Dr. Sarah loves her work and enjoys the families that she works with and believes in creating a place that is safe and without judgement where each person is treated with honor and respect. Dr. Cordonnier believes in a holistic approach to counseling where all components of the human person are addressed, including psychological, spiritual, and physical. She believes in working through deep issues that may cause serious problems throughout one's life and to create a resolution that brings forth peace and hope.
