About Me
Beth Reeder Johnson, MSW, LCSW is a licensed Psychiatric Social Worker and Individual, Family & Couples Therapist with over 20 years of experience working with adolescents, adults, couples, families, and groups. Beth is trained in EMDR and CBT and she is also a Certified Imago Therapist trained to help couples communicate, resolve conflict, and reconnect. Before she started her private practice, ERJ Counseling in 2008, Beth was an Individual and Family Therapist at Children’s Medical Center, Center for Pediatric Psychiatry. Education & Experience
In addition to earning a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work at Boston College, Beth is a Board-Approved Supervisor recognized to train other therapists. She is also a Safe Conversations Master Trainer, leading workshops to help couples, teens and families learn a new model of communication. Beth is a member of EMDRIA, the National Association of Social Workers, Imago Relationships International (IRI), and the Collaborative Law Institute of Texas. Beth has been a guest on Morning After CW33 TV Show, One Life Radio, Second Shot Podcast, and The Bubble Lounge Podcast. She is also a frequent public speaker and a trainer with a focus on building cohesive teams and enhancing Relationship Wellness Skills©.
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
Beth teaches classes for couples and singles at her church. She also helps at her son’s school and is a volunteer at The Wilkinson Center. Beth was a founding member of Family Wellness Dallas, Organization promoting Safe Communications to Dallas area couples and families. She also served as a Steering Committee Member, Former Clinical Coordinator for Clinical Assistants, Co-Chair of the Education Committee, and Lead Facilitator of the Safe Conversations Teen Workshop.
