About Me
Human resiliency and compassion are at the heart of all my work. I believe in people’s inherent wellness and their desire and ability to live a full, meaningful life. Many people seek counselling hoping to learn ways to deal with anxiety, depression, trauma, day-to-day problems and complex issues. I offer a collaborative, supportive, and empathic approach to therapy in order for individuals to feel comfortable pursuing their therapy goals. My reward as a therapist is seeing people move forward in their lives with self-awareness, confidence and a sense of being-becoming the person they are meant to be. I specialize in the areas of life transitions; LGBTQ2SIA+; depression; anxiety; trauma; intergenerational trauma; grief and loss; chronic pain and illness; infertility; and relationship concerns. I offer clinical supervision to Social Workers and Clinical Therapists. I also provide support to therapists experiencing compassion fatigue/vicarious trauma. Clients and colleagues comment that I create an inviting, warm, safe, respectful and open environment for working through life challenges. I am a sensitive, intuitive listener. I offer a broad range of skills and approaches along with practical wisdom honed over many years of experience. I can honour your needs and way of being in the world.
