About Me
Hi! I’m Elyse, nice to meet you! “About Me” sections are one of my least favorite things to do… as I find it easier to talk about anything other than myself! I’m passionate about my role as an LPC and have been lucky enough to hold a variety of positions within the field of community mental health, within the past few years. Within these roles I have been able to harness my skills as an EMDR clinician, under the guidance of a wonderful consultant/trainer. While utilizing this particular treatment modality, I have also been honing my skills within the energetic realm of healing. I enjoy interweaving evidenced based and spiritual practices, as a way to bring peace to all parts of the Self.
Education & Experience
BA in Psychology 2008; MA in Special Education 2012; MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling 2019; EMDR trained in June 2021. My counseling career kicked off working with young adults and their families in late 2018. From there I transitioned to a position in adult outpatient, running a substance abuse IOP and saw adults with a myriad of mental health conditions from 2019-2022. From there I moved into a position co-facilitating an adult partial hospitalization program and then transitioned into the role of creating and running a mental health intensive outpatient program. While managing my full time employment positions, I have taken on clients in the private practice sector, part time, where I have done the majority of my EMDR work.
