Ms. Eman Said, LCSW

(She/Hers)
Preferred Name: Eman

About Me

My name is Eman Said. I am a first-generation Muslim Arab American, born and raised in NYC. In my early years and adulthood, accessing resources and services that felt inclusive and culturally sensitive was challenging. My own journey in healing has sparked a desire to provide culturally sensitive care to people from all walks of life. While many of my clients have struggled with marginalization based on their background as an immigrant, BIPOC, MENA, a person with a mental illness or disability, I also have many clients who have had many privileges in life, and yet feel a sense of exclusion and alienation from their family and the larger community. Whether the person comes to therapy seeking love, a sense of belonging, finding a fulfilling career, managing family relations, or healing from trauma, I believe my nuanced background and experience help me in creating a safe space that is warm, inviting, affirming, and truly celebrates diversity.

Education & Experience

I have a Master's degree in Social Work from Touro College, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, license #088812.

Professional & Volunteer Affiliations

I dedicated time to facilitate Narcotics Anonymous (NA) in my community faith center for the first time to address drug use in the community as a source of support and resource.
