About Me

I am a clinically trained licensed graduate professional counselor with an MS degree in clinical counseling. My undergraduate work focused on areas of Addictions and Recovery. I have experience working with those recovering from substance abuse-related addictions, pornography, conflict resolution, crisis counseling, domestic violence, relationship conflict, grief, and trauma using an integrative approach and when appropriate, EMDR. I work with individuals and couples who are wanting to grow and heal. As a retired police officer myself, I have a passion for helping the law enforcement and first responder community. I have been blessed to work with firefighters, EMT's, police officers and special agents as a substance abuse counselor and mental health therapist. I am also on the Survivors of Blue Suicide wellness team helping those impacted when a loved one in law enforcement commits suicide. I volunteer as a Certified Field Traumatologist with the Green Cross assisting with the mental health needs of first responders, volunteers, and victims of man-made and natural disasters.
