Mr. Gregory Mark Spayd, LPC
Preferred Name: Gregory
About Me
I became a therapist because of my deep desire to serve. Walking beside my clients as they heal and become empowered brings me true happiness, and it engenders in me a sense of awe for the resilience and strength of the human spirit. I am so grateful to work in a field where the focus is on the potential of each new person I meet.
Education & Experience
After doctoral work in music (percussion) at the University of Texas at Austin, I followed my true calling and earned a Master of Science degree in Counseling from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. I spent many years in private practice with a diverse variety of clients, and I also taught Psychology in higher education.
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
In the past I served as a volunteer mentor for elementary school students in Austin. In addition, I was the volunteer founder and director of the National Coalition Building Institute at Del Mar College.
