About Me
As an LPCC, my preference is to work from a systemic, collaborative, strength-based approach that is mindful of cultural, ethnic and economic concerns to promote self-love and growth. In working from this approach, I hope to help clients acknowledge the various unique contexts which impact their lives, connect with their strengths, and learn new ways to live. Through utilizing various therapeutic approaches including family systems, CBT EMDR, and Adlerian theories, I hope to provide an empathetic, safe and nonjudgmental space where clients can process and heal with a new focus on trauma.
Education & Experience
I complted my B.A from the University of Redlands with a major in Psychology in 2010. Following that, I immediately pursued the mental health field working and took on roles as a teacher counselor in a milieu setting with children, a primary counselor in a residential facility for adults, as a therapeutic behavioral coach in a high school setting, a RBT with children and as a family liaison to connect services within the schools / community for troubled youth. Following 10 years of experience in the field sought I returned to school for my MA in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling through Walden University and graduated in 2021. I have worked in private practice since 2022 moving from my LPCC to my LPCC-S and newly completed EMDR basic training.
