Education & Experience

Holly A. Magaña, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist in private practice in Irvine, California, where she works with victims of crime and others who have experience trauma and adversity. She is retired Service Chief with the Orange County Health Care Agency where she oversaw mental health programs serving children in the foster care system and child victims of violence. She was active there in efforts to develop a trauma-informed system of care for children and youth involved in the mental health, education and child welfare systems. She is currently working with the Orange County Department of Education to develop and implement a Trauma Informed Educator training series which is being delivered to school staff throughout the county.
