EMDR Trainer

About Me

I am an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Somatic Experiencing (SE) trained clinician working with clients who are dealing with shock and developmental trauma. This includes trauma related issues of post-traumatic stress, anxiety, depression, addiction as well as somatic symptomology. I incorporate EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, Mindfulness and Trauma-Sensitive Yoga in my practice. I have extensive experience working with clients grappling with complex trauma. I am strongly influenced by therapeutic approaches that empower individuals to find solutions and heal the whole self. As a therapist, I believe that everyone possesses an ability to heal; mind, body and spirit. I enjoy helping clients develop the tools and insight to face life’s challenges and find true happiness.

I am licensed in the State of Texas as an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), SEP (Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and LCDC (Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor). I hold a Master of Arts degree in Professional Counseling from Amberton University. In addition, I hold a Master of Arts degree in Urban Affairs and Public Policy from Saint Louis University. I am a Reiki Master and Registered Yoga Teacher with Certification as a Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga Facilitator (TCTSY-F), Yoga for 12 Step Recovery (Y12SR) and Meditation.
