About Me

I primarily use two kinds of therapy to help resolve trauma and reduce symptoms of stress, anxiety and depression: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Neurofeedback, also known as EEG Biofeedback. Both of these modalities are evidence-based and have helped many other people facing similar challenges as you to feel more calmness and peace and return to enjoying life and their relationships again. Whether you're already in therapy and looking to add these services, or just getting started, let's talk soon to see if these might be a good option for you!

Education & Experience

In 2006 I graduated from Boise State University with an undergraduate degree in Social Work. After graduation, I spent several years with the Women's and Children's Alliance, a wrap-around agency that provides services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence in Boise, Idaho. At that agency I was a hotline respondent, crisis advocate, case manager, court advocate, and, for the last 6 years, the shelter manager. Eventually, I returned to BSU and finished a graduate degree in Social Work in 2012. Since graduation, I've worked as a therapist at two agencies, and then transferred to a clinic where I provided therapy and other social work support to people who were resettled in Boise as refugees from all over the world. In 2016 I opened a private practice and turned my focus solely to ongoing psychotherapy. Currently I'm excited about the field of applied psychophysiology, and using biofeedback to enhance our natural resilience and support recovery from stress and trauma. These tools interweave beautifully with the therapy process, and I'd love to talk to you about them if you're interested!
