About Me
Jeannie Mitchell works in a therapeutic setting helping individuals overcome the affects of trauma, anxiety & depression. She is non-judgmental and caring in her approach and will individually tailor counseling strategies to meet your needs, diagnosis, and preferences. She has advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) which is an evidenced based treatment for those with past trauma or PTSD. Jeannie is a veteran and has an unique perspective to help veterans, military members, and their families work through military life issues. "Getting Past Your Past". EMDR is one approach to overcoming stressful events, but it's not the only one. Other therapy's include: Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution Focused, & Person Centered Therapy. Jeannie will work with you deciding on the most effective approach based on your unique set of circumstances. Jeannie works with various populations and has extensive cultural diversity training. She sees patients with a variety of diagnosis and problems including; PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, Anger, Bipolar, Chronic Stress, Health Issues, Relationship issues, Phobias, or Professional Development.
