About Me

Hello. I'm a collaborative, warm, authentic and an empathetically attuned straight white woman with a youthful spirit and a deep appreciation for people’s resilience and wisdom. I believe trauma resolution does not need to be painful to be effective. It certainly does not involve rehashing details of distressing events. . I’m available for talk therapy, if it seems helpful. But my prime focus is to help my clients thrive by facilitating relief from trauma symptoms such as unmanageable emotional hijacking and impulsive self-sabotaging behaviors. Most of my adult clients deal with childhood emotional abuse. There’s a spectrum, from feeling not understood to being physically or sexually harmed. For this transformational work, I’ve packed my professional toolbox with approaches that tap into the brain centers that store trauma and frustrating habits like perfectionism. These tools include: EMDR (nearly certified); Somatic Therapy (certified as a Sensorimotor psychotherapist); The Flash Technique and Janina Fisher's TIST (Trauma Informed Stabilization Treatment). I believe people already possess everything inside for them to heal, and I’m here to help them tap into it--tailored to individual needs.
