About Me

Karen Christensen, LPC, LSOTP, CSAT is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Sex Offender Treatment Provider, and Certified Sex Addiction Therapist who specializes in the treatment of sexual addiction, sexual trauma, and adult relational and behavioral concerns. Additional areas of interest include assisting adults who struggle with low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, and grief. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences with a major in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Counseling. Karen is the owner and founder of Rinnovare Counseling Center. Karen provides a confidential, discrete, and a nonjudgmental therapeutic environment where clients can safely disclose and process painful life events, as well as sensitive and oftentimes embarrassing intrusive thoughts and/or behaviors. All counseling approaches are evidence-based and include but are not limited to psycho-educational, cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, experiential, and relapse prevention.
