Kate Abrams, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
(she/her/hers)
About Me
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a specialization in perinatal mental health – this includes people on their fertility or adoption journey, through pregnancy, birth, and the first years of life. I am Canadian certified in perinatal mental health, birth and reproductive trauma, and perinatal grief and loss. I am an integrative psychotherapist that pulls from many modalities including Cultural-Relational Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Gestalt, Adlerian, Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). My approach is person-centered, which means we will work together to find the right interventions and support that work for you. I am passionate about providing care that is culturally responsive and promotes racial and social justice. I provide individual psychotherapy through either telephone or secure video sessions. While much of my work has been with the perinatal population, I enjoy working with individuals from all backgrounds and with all needs.
