About Me

With more than 25 years providing professional mental health children, adolescents, adults and families, I am passionate about the overall stability of children, adults and families, and I am committed to providing effective, evidenced based treatment services to underserved populations. I am a Certified Clinical Supervisor with National Association of Social Workers (NASW).

Education & Experience

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Certified Sexual Offender Treatment Provider (CSOTP) and Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC), in the Commonwealth of Virginia. I am also a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor (RPT-S), trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing), trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and a Certified NADA AcuDetox Specialist. My education includes a Bachelor of Art (BA) in Sociology/Criminal Justice from Norfolk State University, Master of Social Work (MSW) from Virginia Commonwealth University, and Doctor of Christian Counseling (DCC) from Christian Leadership University.

Professional & Volunteer Affiliations

I am a proud member of the Suffolk Rotary, Portsmouth Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., a Board Member of the Suffolk YMCA, and an active philanthropist in my community. I am the Founder/Executive Director of Blakey Weaver, and the CEO/Senior Clinical Director of Providence Psychological Services, Inc.
