About Me
My passion for helping people began in my teenaged years when several of my friends struggled with eating disorders, drug addiction, and other mental health issues. I have walked my own journey of trauma, addiction, and abuse. I am now married and have two teenaged kids. My hobbies include outdoor activities, such as hiking, biking, and paddle boarding. I ride a motorcycle and also enjoy working on it. I love to make things, from knitting blankets to building stuff. I am passionate about LGBTQ+ rights, nature, and second chances in life.
Education & Experience
After a decade of working as a photographer and graphic designer, I decided to switch gears and obtained my Bachelor's degree in Psychology followed by my Master's of Social Work from the University of Central Florida. I started to work in several substance abuse treatment centers and mental health clinics while going to school, and finally became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker while working at Circles of Care in the residential treatment program for substance abuse. This is where I received my Master's level Certified Addiction Professional. My interest for trauma treatment increased and I became trained in EMDR and trauma therapy, as well as Accelerated Resolution Therapy while working at Bayside Recovery Wellness in IOP and outpatient, providing individual, and group therapy to persons with PTSD, and/or behavioral issues, such as substance abuse, self harm, eating disorders, panic disorders and more.
