Online Therapy

About Me

My approach is relational and mindfulness-based. It consists of talk therapy and drama therapy depending on your level of comfort. I bring mindful attention to how small t-trauma(s) and big T-trauma(s) may be contributing to your presenting issues while promoting the process of resourcing as I witness the beauty of your unique resilience. I approach my work with a social justice lens which also informs how I show up in the therapeutic relationship with you.

Education & Experience

Masters degree in Counseling Psychology with concentration in Drama therapy at California Institute of Integral Studies. I am a trauma-informed therapist who is trained in EMDR and in EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique).

Professional & Volunteer Affiliations

I have received intensive trainings on domestic violence, and I worked more than 4 years with Arab survivors at Asian Women's Shelter in San Francisco. I volunteered to lead and facilitate an Arab LGBTQ+ group for healing, community building and social change for more than a year and I offered presentations on different panels discussing cultural competence when working with Arab populations in the Bay Area. I have extensive experience working with people coming from a wide range of backgrounds specifically, but not limited to, immigrants, children of immigrants, LGBTQ+ folks, BIPOC and war survivors. I honor the history and the process of every person I work with.
