Education & Experience

Graduate of Amberton University earning a master' s degree in Licensed Professional Counseling (4.0 GPA). Earned a bachelor of arts with a major in psychology and a minor in criminal justice from the University of North Texas. Currently serving as Director of Counseling for Rockwall County CSCD. Previously worked with clients as an EMDR therapist and COPSD counselor at Nexus Recovery Center in Dallas, helping women with substance use problems. Recently worked at Garland Behavioral Hospital in Garland, TX doing assessments for their intake department as well as groups for adults in inpatient treatment. Also worked with adolescent girls at Timberlawn Mental Health Systems doing individual and group therapy, family counseling, treatment plans and discharge plans. Spent time as a therapist working with females on probation with substance abuse problems at Phoenix House in Wilmer, Texas. Fulfilled LPC practicum requirements working at Timberlawn Intensive Care Unit gaining valuable experience working with adults in an acute care environment.
