Kristina Malott is a Licensed Professional Counselor, licensed through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counselor from The Union Institute and University and my Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication from Miami University. I am an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) clinician, completing my training through the EMDR Institute, established by EMDR founder, Dr. Francine Shapiro. My background includes working with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, substance use disorder, trauma, and personality disorders. I am also a yoga and meditation instructor with training in trauma-informed yoga and restorative yoga. I incorporate tools learned throughout my career to assist clients to develop coping skills, embody safety, and make healthy choices to create sustainable changes. My therapeutic approach includes CBT, DBT, EMDR, and Motivational Interviewing.
