About Me
Laura N. Moore (preferred name Nikki) has over 23 years experience in the social services field and 9 years of experience in mental health counseling with diverse populations in treatment foster care, school-based, outpatient and residential settings. Nikki is proficient in Person-Centred Therapy, motivational interviewing, CBT, and TF-CBT modalities of treatment. Nikki recently completed basic EMDR training through an EMDRIA approved curriculum. She has specialized experience in working with young children, adolescents, adults and families. She specializes in the treatment of trauma related to childhood abuse/neglect, insecure attachments, adoption processes, and human trafficking in the adolescent population. She prefers working with adolescents and transitional youth. She is experienced in treating attachment disorders, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma disorders, anxiety disorders, psychosis and severe mental illness in adults and children. As a clinical supervisor, Nikki utilizes a combination of models: humanistic-relationship oriented supervision model, the feminist supervision model, and the discrimination model (DM) to guide and inform the process of clinical supervision.
