About Me
I am a dedicated therapist with a deep commitment to guiding individuals through the complexities of trauma, chronic pain, illness, and sudden loss. My practice is rooted in the belief that everyone's path to healing is unique, and I bring over 15 years of experience to support each client's journey toward resilience and growth. I integrate a holistic approach to EMDR therapy, drawing upon and integrating the principles of attachment theory and Internal Family Systems (IFS). As an experienced yoga teacher, I also incorporate practices to support mental and physical well-being, underscoring the interconnectedness of the mind and body in the healing process. My approach is characterized by empathy, respect, and a commitment to providing tailored support, with a focus on practical strategies that foster well-being and allow room for all human emotions.
Education & Experience
I hold a Master's degree in Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology, which together lay the foundation for my holistic and culturally sensitive approach to therapy. My early career was significantly shaped by several years of work and volunteer service with various nonprofits focused on interpersonal violence and community development, where I honed my skills in trauma-informed care and gained invaluable insights into the power of community in the healing process. Prior to transitioning to private practice, I worked in a healthcare setting at a regional pain clinic. This experience allowed me to collaborate closely with healthcare providers across disciplines, enriching my practice with a comprehensive understanding of the multifaceted nature of pain and the importance of an integrated approach to treatment.
