Online Therapy

About Me

As a creative therapist, I utilize a variety of approaches including EMDR to make sense of challenges that may be appearing in current day-to-day life. This includes working with a variety of modalities that can be interwoven into the EMDR process including Internal Family Systems and Expressive Arts Therapy. I offer a grounded and compassionate approach, listening from the heart and holding space for unpleasant, hard and traumatizing experiences that may have come up in your life (in addition to all the beautiful moments). Working alongside my therapy clients is an honour. Working with me you will have a cheerleader, container, guide, support and healer.

Education & Experience

I have a Masters of Clinical Social Work with a specialization in Trauma-Informed Clinical Skills from the University of Calgary. This compliments my undergraduate degrees in social work as well as a Fine Arts Degree. Trained as a trauma therapist, my experiences revolves around working with those who have experienced deep wounds that may show up in strong negative thoughts about self, others or the world, subsance use, self-harming behaviours, suicidal thoughts or actions, anger, poor self-esteem and other. In addition to my private practice work, I am employed at a community health clinic where I work with individual that have experiences of homelessness, severe mental health, and substance abuse concerns. I have additional experience working with individuals that have experienced sexual exploitation, families in conflict, and parenting support.

Professional & Volunteer Affiliations

I am an registered social worker through the Alberta College of Social Workers and an EMDRIA member. I am on the roster of therapists for the Breaking Free Foundation, a non-profit offering grants for trauma therapy. Outside my theapeutic involvements I volunteer in the community at our local Calgary Folk Music Festival as the coordinator of their arts market.
