About Me

Malinda LaVelle is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Registered Dance/Movement Therapist currently working with Veterans and their families at Paws and Stripes in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Education & Experience

Experience providing counseling and dance/movement therapy to a range of populations including adolescents with eating disorders, domestic violence survivors, incarcerated adults, elders with neurocognitive disease, and adults, adolescents, and children in inpatient psychiatric settings. Malinda has also worked with Native American communities in rural and urban community mental health centers and has experience providing culturally sensitive, trauma-informed individual and group therapy with adults in recovery from substance abuse disorders and/or mental health diagnoses including PTSD, depression, and anxiety.
