About Me
aking the first step to contact me to discuss therapy is not an easy one. You may have been thinking about it for some time and hoping things would get better on their own. Maybe sadness continues to seep into your life, especially with people and places that used to bring you joy. People don’t seem to understand what’s wrong and seeking support from friends and family is more difficult. They may even think you’re making a bigger deal out of things than they really are. Are you worrying more than you used to before? Or maybe you’re thinking about who you are and who you want to be. It’s scary and you’re not sure how to get there. I utilize online therapy to increase access to counseling. I draw on cognitive, psychodynamic, and analytic techniques to address our collaborative work. Your goals can be long-term or short-term and we will address them at a speed that is right for you. I specialize in working with individuals with trauma as well as members of the LGBTQ+ community. People often come to me wanting to discuss events that have left a layer of challenges over their life and relationships. Often clients, who are holding on to significant trauma or identity challenges, resist sharing out of fear of embarrassment or hurting me with their trauma. To that I say, we will walk down that path together. I’ll be ready when you are.
