About Me

Matthew Aldred (LPC, MACMHC) received his B.A. from the University of Louisville and his Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2019 from the Chicago School of Psychology. Matthew has proven successes in treating and improving outcomes for adults, couples, children, and teens. Matthew has received training and offers services utilizing evidence based practices including EMDR, Emotion Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Play, Trauma Focused-CBT, and Motivational Interviewing. Matthew was trained by the EMDR Institute and certified as an EMDR therapist in 2020. Matthew currently is part of the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA) for the purpose of networking, research and development, and improving patient care. Matthew has received advanced trainings from The EMDR Center for Excellence to further incorporate EMDR’s application to children and teens, “playful solutions EMDR”. Matthew’s current goal is to utilize years of experiences working with adults and children in the fields of trauma, substance abuse, and co-occurring disorders to improve treatment outcomes of individuals and families.
