About Me
I have worked in the area of human services for most of my career in varying capacities. I decided to get my MSW later in life, and consequently became a licensed clinician, which fulfilled a longtime dream. I have worked both in-patient and out-patient with various populations. It was within my most recent employment, community mental health, that I developed a desire to assist those who have PTSD or trauma in their history. I went forward to receive more training in this area and awaiting certification in EMDR.
Education & Experience
I hold an MSW from Boston University of Social Work. While there, I interned at an out outpatient counseling center where I provided individual counseling services. Post graduate, I worked at an in patient hospital providing case management and some therapy and then in a community mental health organization. My post graduate work allowed me to become better affiliated with the area of mental health and especially those with acute mental health issues.
