Education & Experience

I have a master's degree in counseling psychology and a Ph.D. in Psychology. I am a retired combat veteran who has personally gone from survivor to success and is intimately knowledgeable about the healing process for those suffering from combat-related injury and trauma. I have also worked extensively in education and therapy with Holocaust Survivors, as well as their children. I am currently doing research in conjunction with the Veterans Administration on Post Traumatic Stress/Complex Trauma in combat veterans.

Professional & Volunteer Affiliations

I am a member of CAMFT and the Santa Barbara County Psychological Association. I have two special needs children and have volunteered extensively with local developmental, intellectual, and Autistic groups in the greater Santa Barbara Area. I have also lectured to various service organizations on PTSD. I also devote some of my practice to At Ease International (for treatment of first responders and their families)and The Breast Cancer Resource Center of Santa Barbara, CA.
